Says Mona Singh who looks cool and confident as the host of the latest season of ‘Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’

The famous Sony face is back on the channel to host the new season of ‘Entertainment ke Liye Kuch bhi Karega’. We are talking about model turned actress Mona Singh who became a big hit a decade earlier with ‘Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi’ on Sony and was last seen in ‘Kya Hua Tera Vaada’ on the same channel. In between she was seen participating in reality shows as a contestant and also as a host.

I Would Rather Focus on My Work

Looking svelte and confident in her latest outing as a host, Mona looks as if she has lost oddles of weight. Compliment her on that and she breaks into a smile and says, “Well yes, after participating and winning ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’ in 2006 I realised the importance of fitness and have been maintaining it since then. It makes you look good on screen and also builds your confidence,” smiles the lovely lass.

While today she is talking to all, there was a time last year when her MMS scandal made headlines and she was not approachable. That and her recent announcement of break up with actor Vidyut Jamwal are topics that are still taboo, “I would rather focus on my work and not talk about anything personal. I have a strong family and friends to support and guide me,” says the actress.

Her six-month break after her last show also allowed her to travel and explore a bit which kept her away from the media glare, “I went on a travel spree and tried my hand at a lot of adventure sports which were good for my body and mind. It helped me shed weight and also built my confidence.” That can be seen in her vivacious spirit which comes across as you see her hosting the show.

“The sets of ‘Entertainment ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’ is like homecoming. Me, Anu (Malik) and Farah Khan have worked on the show earlier too and bond quite well. I have known and worked with my co-host Krushna Abhishek earlier too and he is a laugh riot on the sets. Food is a hot topic of discussion as we all are major foodies and that strengthens the bond," says Mona who has been the host for all the seasons of the show.

In the one decade of work on television, Mona has done only three fiction shows and doesn’t regret it too, “Sometimes fiction becomes too regular and turns boring after a point of time so I am happy with the shows that I have done but do not regret not doing more of it. I am happy with my non-fiction shows and they keep me going. When it comes to films too I was happy with doing ‘3 Idiots’ but did not like the offers which came after that so did not accept any just for the sake of it.” She has always looked forward to a happy and contended life.
