Chennai: With families going nuclear, young Indian parents increasingly face the challenge of parenting their offspring properly, said a top official of a social media parenting platform company. "Though there are online resources available, in many cases they are not much relevant in the Indian context and hence we have come out with our online platform parentcircle.com,

" Nalina Ramalakshmi, founder and managing director of Shri Harini Media Ltd, an associate of Ramco group said. According to her, the online platform ParentCircle brings together parents, child experts, doctors, educators and others to share and collaborate on various aspects of parenting.

"Ours is a content aggregating, curative platform," she added. She said ParentCircle has signed up with over 20 experts and knowledge partners in different fields who would share their expertise on parenting issues.

According to her, the platform would offer parenting tips, connect with the micro community, crowd sourced and local content. Citing a study made by research agency IMRB for Shri Harini Media, she said more than one-fourth of children feel parents do not appreciate them and every third child is bullied in school.
