They learnt how the milk products are manufactured and packed without the touch of human hand.

Students and faculty enjoyed the ‘Amul India Story’, a small film featured on Dr Kurien and his works as the architect of India’s White Revolution; his professional life has been dedicated to empowering the Indian farmers through co-operatives.

The white revolution empowered farmers; particularly women have made India the largest milk producer in the world. “Today, 150 lakh farmers across 1.6 lakh village dairy cooperative societies in India, supplying milk worth Rs 50,000 crore every year, join hands to thank Dr Varghese Kurien for a lifetime spent in empowering them to live happily forever,” said an employee.

Amul launched its milk in Hyderabad in January 2015 and within a month achieved a sale of 1 lakh liters per day. Currently it sells around 2 LLPD milk in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
