Krishna Kanth Park is one of the major city level parks located close to Yousufguda. It is spread over 22 acres and is under the control of central zone in the GHMC limits.

The park is a perfect place to relax and rejoice amidst nature with abundance of greenery, rich vegetation, flowers and medicinal herbs; the beautiful landscape retains its charm all the year.
For nature enthusiasts, the park is a real delight as one can enjoy different birds and exotic flowers that add colour to its beauty. Besides, one can feel the serenity in its environs and spend some quality time in isolation.
There is a special section in the park, which is used by scientists and researchers for carrying out their experiments. The park remains open daily from 5 am to 9 pm. The entry is free for morning walkers from 5 am to 8 am. Apart from this, the entry fee for adults is Rs 5 adults and Re 1 for children. Entry is free to senior citizens.
TSRTC buses are available to all parts of the city. The Secunderabad Railway Station is 15 km away and the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is 35 km away.
History
The park was opened to public in February 2004 and was inaugurated by former Chief Minister of AP, during the period of Teegala Krishna Reddy as Mayor of the City. The park was named after Krishna Kanth, former Vice-president of India and former Governor of Andhra Pradesh, who laid the foundation stone of the park.
Problems
B Srihari, general secretary of the Park, Walkers Association said, “The Park has become a lovers’ paradise and a “safe place” for illicit activities. The women and families are hesitant to come in the evening hours, as it is dominated with eve teasers and antisocial elements. There are no periodical police beats in the Park to prevent such incidents.”
In addition, toilets are not in usable condition, there is no drinking water facility, the children play equipment is broken, dog menace is rampant, there is no canteen and a stink emanates due to a sewerage canal passing through the Park all the time.
The Lake inside the Park is dried and mixed with sewerage water emanating obnoxious smell. The GHMC authorities need to take immediate action to fix the problems.
Thomas,director of urban bio-diversity wing of GHMC,said,they,are going to fix all the chronic issues and planning to set up water treatment sewerage plant,calling for tenders for opening the canteen for the convenience of the park users.
