PCI team calls on I&PR chief
The Sub-Committee of Press Council of India (PCI) consisting of its Convenor Gurinder Singh and member Prabath Kumar Das on Tuesday called on the Commissioner to Information and Public Relations Department of Telangana, Navin Mittal at the latter’s office in the city. The PCI team was on a two-day visit to Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: The Sub-Committee of Press Council of India (PCI) consisting of its Convenor Gurinder Singh and member Prabath Kumar Das on Tuesday called on the Commissioner to Information and Public Relations Department of Telangana, Navin Mittal at the latter’s office in the city. The PCI team was on a two-day visit to Hyderabad.
While interacting with the sub-committee members, Navin said that necessary steps would be taken for empanelment and fixing of the rates for newspapers by the end of March 2016 after taking into account the regularity of the newspapers.
The Commissioner also added that the department has started observing regularity of the newspapers since December 2015 to consider the request of the newspapers as to the empanelment and tariff. The Information and Public Relations Director V Subash was also present on this occasion.
