Isha turns biker chick for Raja Cheyyi Vesthe
Isha Talwar is back in the reckoning in Tollywood with ‘Raja Cheyyi Vesthe’ almost two years after ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ (2014).
Isha Talwar is back in the reckoning in Tollywood with ‘Raja Cheyyi Vesthe’ almost two years after ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ (2014). Commenting on the brief hiatus, she says, “Post the success of ‘Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde’, good scripts didn’t come my way. But I’ve been offered meaty roles in Malayalam and Tamil. So I’ve naturally showed inclination towards neighbouring industries.”
Isha will be seen as a techie in ‘Raja Cheyyi Vesthe’, directed by debutant Pradeep Chilukuri. “I play Chaitra and it’s not just the role of an urban girl who is a software engineer but there’s a lot more to her. It has a mean streak and there’s a lot happening within her. She’s on a journey to find interesting ways to channel her emotions and dilemma,” she explains.
Describing her co-star Nara Rohith as sweet, the former model says, “I was to surprised see his dedication levels. There were times when he pushed himself to complete shootings of his other films and still make it to our sets.” The Mumbai actress couldn’t control her excitement when she had an opportunity to ride a bike for the film. “I have been planning to learn bike riding since ages but it didn’t happen.
Finally, thanks to the film, I learnt how to ride and that too in 20 minutes. I shot the sequence with Rohith as the pillion. It wasn’t as tough as I expected it to be and never thought I could pick up bike riding so fast. It was fun and exciting. And that’s the beauty of cinema; you get to learn several things, instantly,” she smiles.
She says she enjoyed working with Pradeep, the film’s director. “He’s a young director and his thoughts are fresh. He has a decade of experience as an AD and worked with all big directors. So he knew what exactly he wanted and was always brimming with positivity on sets.”
While shooting in Hyderabad, Isha had a chance to visit Charminar and Golkonda. “This is the first time I’ve been there, although I was in the city a few times. It was awesome and I even bought bangles and shawls at Charminar,” she signs off.
