The new entrant in the wine market ‘ASAV’ is wooing the wine lovers with its Brut Sparkling, Reserve Chenin Blanc, Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, Reserve Shiraz, Madhura Cab Shiraz and ANGOO red wine varieties.

Kishan Peddapally, a name well known in the wine circles of Hyderabad, after a long stint with Sula Vineyards, has launched his own brand - ASAV wines, which according to him is one of the top quality wines made in India.

“This wine is usually exported. I have always dreamt of launching wine on my own, and when that happenes, I wanted it to be the best available for wine connoisseurs of Hyderabad.”

He waited patiently, and used his extensive knowledge of the industry and wine making process to find ASAV and launch it.

“I have minutely followed up on every detail of the wine making process – right from the viticulture, harvest, vinification, maturation and bottling to ensure only the top quality wine have been bottled under the ASAV brand name,” he shares.

Wine has long since been in the category of health and wellness. Bringing this home is the concept behind ASAV. Draksh-asava literally means fermented grape juice (wine) in Sanskrit.

The ancient Indian healing system of healing known as Ayurveda used Asavas to bring back health. Hence Asavais believed to address health imbalances arising from an excess of the Vata-Vayu Dosha in the Ayurvedic system.

“ASAV wines have been produced in a state of the art winery. The grapes have been procured from Nasik. Detailed focus has been given to viticulture to ensure high quality produce.

The Vines have been pruned so that yields are controlled to ensure top quality grapes bursting with flavour.

Harvest is done at the exact brix level to ensure perfect sugar acid balance in the fruit,” explains Kishan. ASAV, he says, will shortly be available at all premium hotels, restaurant, pubs and retail outlets.
