Talking to The Hans India here on Monday, he said the police department would be beefed up security for the event as devotees from two Telugu States and also from Chhattisgarh and Odisha are expected to take part in large numbers.
He asked officials to install boards on the Godavari River bank indicating the depth of the river at the place and told them to give duty pass to staff members.
He directed the village panchayat to take up sanitation works in and around the temple. In all, 160 toilets, including 60 temporary toilets, would be set up through the rural water supply department.
Drinking water pipeline would be laid on the river bund with installation of taps. The village panchayat would erect tents and store drinking water in drums for the benefit of the thronging public.
He asked the public health department to provide drinking water in and around the temple at 25 places.
