ICFAI Law School, a constituent of the ICFAI University, Hyderabad, is organising a four-day law festival Lex-Knot from March 30th 2017 to April 2nd 2017 at ICFAI University Campus, Dontanpally said Prof A V Narsimha Rao, Dean, ICFAI Law School at a Press Conference to announce the festival.
Hyderabad: ICFAI Law School, a constituent of the ICFAI University, Hyderabad, is organising a four-day law festival Lex-Knot from March 30th 2017 to April 2nd 2017 at ICFAI University Campus, Dontanpally said Prof A V Narsimha Rao, Dean, ICFAI Law School at a Press Conference to announce the festival.
Y R Haragopal Reddy, Advisor- ICFAI Group and Sudhakar Rao, Director-Branding, ICFAI Group also addressed the media.
The main highlight of the event is 33rd All India Inter–University National Moot Court Competition that is sponsored by Bar Council of India Trust and ICFAI Law School. It is being conducted in Hyderabad after 17 years.
“Moot Court is an important part of law education, unlike Indian law universities abroad universities have a complete semester dedicated to the Moot Court, By conducting this competition we want to make sure that the young law aspires understand the original setting of the court room”, said Y R Haragopal Reddy, Advisor- ICFAI Group.
Talking more about the events Prof A V Narsimha Rao, Dean, ICFAI Law School added. “We have received 58 applications from 33 national and private colleges across the country and out of which 50 teams have been finalised for the Moot Court Session. 100 members will be participating in the Asian Parliamentary Debate and Client Counseling event have 16 teams participating”.
Lex Knot events include Photography, screenplay, essay, negotiation, poster making where 500 students from 40 law schools across India are participating.
The inaugural event will be held on March 30 at 5. 00pm and the Chief Guest will be Justice B S Chauhan, Chair Person, Law Commission of India and Guest of Honour will be Manan Kumar Mishra, Chairman, Bar Council of India.
The Valedictory and Prize distribution ceremony of the Moot Court Competition will be held on
April 2, 2017 at 3.00pm and the Chief Guest will be Justice L. Nageswara Rao, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Guest of Honour will be Manan Kumar Mishra, Chairman, Bar Council of India.
“The Prize Distribution Ceremony of various Lex Knot events will be held on April 01, 2017 at 5.00pm and the Chief Guest will be Hon’ble Justice N V Ramana, Judge, Supreme Court of India.
And Cash prizes worth Rs 2 lacs will be awarded to the winners in various competitions of the Lex-Knot 2017”, says Sudhakar Rao, Director-Branding, ICFAI Group.
