TLF calls upon govt to resolve issues of private lecturers
The private teachers, who actively fought for the cause of separate Telangana, were being deprived of fruits of development, alleged Telangana Lecturer’s Forum (TLF) state president Kathi Venkata Swamy.

He said thousands of private lecturers, who were serving at junior, degree, engineering colleges and universities, were finding it difficult to survive with meagre salaries. Despite their valuable contribution in the formation of Telangana State, the TRS government has so far failed to focus on their issues.
The state-wide ‘Chaitanya Yatra’ launched by the TLF on March 25 at Mahabubnagar highlighting the problems of lecturers has arrived here on Tuesday. Marking the occasion Venkata Swamy addressed a gathering of private lecturers at Government Junior College in Hanamkonda. He wanted the government to initiate urgent steps to address the lecturers’ issues.
The forum state general secretary M Ramakrishnaiah addressing the gathering demanded the government to issue health cards, provide double bedroom houses, ensure job security, facilities like ESI, PF and see that the lecturers paid salary for 12 months. A comprehensive GO should be issued to solve the above issues, he added.
The forum associate president Tirunahari Sheshu pledged that the forum would continue its struggle until the demands were fulfilled. He appealed the lecturers to be united and support the forums’ fight for the benefit of all those serving in private institutions.
Later, the forum leaders met Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor Prof R Sayanna and submitted a memorandum of demands. The forum leaders V Anand, T Sanjeev, K Mogili and others were present.
