Karimnagar: As many as 2,400 double bedroom flats with G+5 will be constructed for shelterless poor in Karimnagar, said Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar.
After laying the foundation stone for the construction of flats here at Padmanagar in Karimnagar on Thursday, the Finance Minister said the Telangana government was striving hard for the welfare of poor and to bring smiles on the face of shelterless, the government has taken up construction of double bedroom houses by investing crores of rupees.
Stating that works of houses pending in the Rajiv Gruha Kalpa would be completed soon, the Minister informed that 1,400 houses would be constructed in first phase followed by remaining 1,000 in the second phase. MLC Naradasu Lakshman Rao, MLA Gangula Kamalakar and District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed accompanied the Minister.
