People told to choose generic medicines over branded ones: Nalgonda collector

Nalgonda: District Collector Gaurav Uppal advised people to opt for generic medicines, which have the same composition as of branded medicines.
On Monday, the Collector inaugurated a generic medical shop of Redcross Society at Shivajinagar in Nalgonda.
Speaking on the occasion, Uppal said generic medicines were genuine in quality and composition on par with branded medicines, and available at low cost.
District Administration would extend its cooperation if anyone wants to establish generic medical hall in the district for the welfare of people, he said.
Redcross district Chairman Goli Amarender Reddy informed that Redcross was running a generic medical shop in the district office shopping complex and Shivaji Nagar shop was the second such shop.
He further informed that third generic medical shop would be opened at Devarakonda road in the town at the earliest.
