Raw and ripe mangoes are packed with Vitamin C, which boosts immunity and prevents heat strokes. Mangoes are jam-packed with antioxidant beta-carotene and it boosts your immunity as well as makes your skin glow and eyes sparkle preventing night blindness.

This powerful antioxidant aids in reducing cholesterol and puts a stop to free radical damage thus protecting against cancer.

Savour the ripe mango by itself and not with any dairy products or food.

The raw mango adds a tangy taste to your drinks, salads and pickles preventing the heat getting to you. Satisfy your sugar cravings with the king of fruits and throw out your laxatives with this natural fibrous fruit. Worry not about the fat as it is so negligible that one should not waste a breath on it.

At hundred calories it’s a treat worth having. It’s no wonder that I swap the high caloric white sugar nutrient dead deserts with this amazing fruit with countless benefits that makes my body sing with joy.

RAW MANGO PICKLE (cooked)

Ingredients:
250 gms raw mango
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp cumin seeds
¼ tbsp asafoetida
2 cups water
1 tbsp chilli powder
¼ tbsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tbsp organic sea salt
4 to 6 tbsp organic powdered jaggery

Method:
Chop the mangos into small cubes. Heat the oil. Add cumin seeds and cook till they crackle. Add the raw mango pieces and water. Let it boil till soft. Put in all other ingredients and bring to a boil. Cool it; store in a fridge can have it with roti, bread or rice.

Mango Mint Chat

Ingredients:
2 ripe mangoes
1 tbsp grated coconut
1 finely chopped green chilli
Mint leaves

Method:
Peel and chop the mangoes. Add all the above ingredients and serve cold.
