Youth organisations hold rasta roko in Adilabad
Demanding that the government establish a degree college and mini tank bund in the mandal, members of several youth organisations staged a rasta roko here on Monday.
Icchoda (Adilabad): Demanding that the government establish a degree college and mini tank bund in the mandal, members of several youth organisations staged a rasta roko here on Monday.
Speaking to The Hans India, they blamed the local MLA for shifting the sanctioned degree college to Boath mandal for political gains.
Stating that the agency mandal has all facilities and near to all mandals, they felt justice would be done to students if the college established here. They demanded the government establishment of the college on the outskirts of Adegama (B) village, where the government has 24 acres.
The leaders alleged that the MLA is trying to shift sanctioned mini tank bund for Adegama (K) tank to Boath mandal.
Later, the leaders submitted a memorandum to BR Ambedkar statue as sign of protest.
The members of Navayuva youth, Mahatma youth, Bhagyanagar youth, Indian youth, Vivekananda youth, Mother Theressa youth, Komuram Bheem youth, Yuva Chaitanya youth and Jana Chaitanya youth took part in the rasta roko.
