The students of Harward Public School fared well in the chess competitions organised here on Sunday. The tourney was conducted for the candidates under the age of 17 in the districts of Khammam and Bhadradri-Kothagudem. As many as 115 candidates took part in the competition.

Harward School students M Lahari of Class X stood second in girls category, while M Naga Vamsikiran of Class XI bagged third among boys.

While appreciating the students, the correspondent of the school Ravi Maruth and Principal Parvathi Reddy said sports and games play a key role in building one’s personality. He appreciated chess coaches V Subbarao and Swamy.
