Nalgonda: The steering committee members of T-Mass Forum Tammineni Veerabadram, Gaddar, Professors Kanche Illaiah and Vishveshwar Rao felt that comprehensive development and social justice was possible through socio- political-economic and cultural equalities. It was the duty of every responsible person to fight for social justice, they added.

On Wednesday, the steering committee members attended as chief guests to the T-Mass Forum district unit meeting, held on market yard premises in Nalgonda.

Addressing the gathering, they said caste was ruling the society and injustice was being done to neglected sections. In this connection, T-Mass has decided to go to villages with a slogan of ‘Palle Palle Ku Bata-Parliament Ku Bata’ to bring equality.

Describing the caste system as ladder and end sufferer was women, the members informed that T-Mass which was formed with the fighting spirit of Doddi Komaraiah, first martyr of Telangana Armed Struggle, would work till the aim of the Forum was achieved.

Professor Kanche Illiah stated that China which got freedom in the year 1949 was heading forward very rapidly than India because of social justice. He demanded the government to name the Mahatma Gandhi University in the name of Chakali Illaiah, who fought against Nizam during the Telangana Armed Struggle.

The Committee members felt that the government was blaming Left parties with regard to irrigation projects, and was grabbing the lands of poor in the name of development. They questioned the government’s sanctity in paying compensation to oustees of various projects.

Questioning the government for its promises like KG to PG education, filling of one lakh government jobs, the speakers expressed concern over the filling up of vacant posts under outsourcing, and advised the government to stop betraying unemployed youth and issue job notifications without court stays.

Demanding the implementation of minimum wage of Rs 18,000 to all government workers, they expressed their concern over the violation of wage rules. “Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is betraying the people of the state with magic words and hollow promises,” they added.

Before the commencement of the meeting, a huge rally was conducted to receive the speakers at Marriguda bypass road. Large number of people attended the meeting and various civil society organisations extended their support to the Forum.
