Khammam: As many as 16 cadets of National Cadet Corps (NCC) and one NCC officer were selected to take part in the National Integration Camp to be held from August 24, at Rajkot in Gujarat, informed the Subedar Major Tarun Kumar Manna of 11 Telangana Battalion NCC, here in Khammam on Wednesday.

Of the 16 selected cadets, 10 are of Senior Division NCC boy cadets from SRAS, Kothagudem and six are of Senior Wing NCC girl cadets from Singareni Women’s Degree College, Kothagudem.

Speaking on the occasion, Tarun Kumar Manna said the 16 selected cadets will be accompanied by NCC officer Captain D Bhadraiah from SRAS, Kothagudem. The camp which begins from August 24 at Rajkot in Gujarat will conclude on September 4, he informed.

He said the National Integration Camp has been conducted to create awareness about heritage and culture of the country and to inculcate the qualities of leadership, discipline, team work and character building among the cadets.

The camp will also provide an opportunity for cadets to interact with cadets of different states, work with them and gain experience from each other which enables them to identify the variation of culture, heritage, customs, traditions and socio-economic conditions, he added.
