For better road safety use Call Ambulance technology

City-based Call Ambulance, an IT enabled Global Emergency Care Platform, has been roped in as technology partner for ‘Safety Committee of Srikakulam District’.The announcement came through a statement from the company on Wednesday.“The move is aimed to help reduce the number of deaths due to road accidents in that district,” said the statement.

“RedCross Society initiated SERV, a nationwide programme at Srikakulam, in association with Call Ambulance on the request of the district administration on a pilot basis and will expand to other districts based on the outcome,” it said.

Umashankar Kotturu founder of Call Ambulance said that the Safety Committee is led by Dhananjeya Reddy, District Collector, Trivikram Varma, Superintendent of Police, and Sridevi, Deputy Transport Commissioner.

Jagadish Vishwanatham another founder said that the district administration had been exploring every avenue to reduce accidents and deaths. “It is in this context that the safety committee invited Call Ambulance as a technology partner towards this larger cause,” he said.

“Call Ambulance has a wide network with private and government hospitals, ambulance drivers, blood banks, medical stores, diagnostic labs in Srikakulam District to work together and provide quick and reliable emergency response to public,” said Kotturu.

“In lieu with the Road Safety committee in Srikakulam, the application also has a feature to crowd source road hazards. Citizens can precisely report all the accident-prone areas using the “Report Hazard” feature in the app,” he said.
