Hyderabad: Prof. Ramana Murthy Rupakula, senior faculty in the School of Economics at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) has received an award for his distinguished contribution in Political Economy.
The World Association of Political Economy (WAPE) presented the award to the professor at 12th forum held recently at Moscow State University of Law and Finance, Russia.
He was awarded for his articles published in World Review of Political Economy, titled "Class Differentiation and Crisis of Agrarian Petty C ommodity Producers in India" (2016).
Ramana Murthy currently teaches Political Economy and Development and Macroeconomics at the School of Economics. He has been working in the area of agrarian transformation in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The professor is an official signatory of Indian Political Economy Association (IPEA).
