ICFAI University conducts blood donation camp
The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, aDeemed-to-be-University has conducted a Blood Donation Camp at its campus at Shankarpally. SANKALP (Leadership & CSR Activities Club of students), of IBS Hyderabad, was the main trust in organizing this event. The event was organised on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day on June 14.
The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, aDeemed-to-be-University has conducted a Blood Donation Camp at its campus at Shankarpally. SANKALP (Leadership & CSR Activities Club of students), of IBS Hyderabad, was the main trust in organizing this event. The event was organised on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day on June 14.
“Donate Blood, Save Lives” was the motto that drove many volunteers to turn as donors. Students participated in huge numbers in a move to support various social causes and to create awareness about the noble cause of donating blood to the needy.The camp was organised in association with “Niloufer Hospital for women and children” and “Indian Development Foundation” (an NGO). A total of 161 blood units were collected which would be used by the hospital for pregnant women and for pediatric use.
Dr C Rangarajan, Chancellor of IFHE Deemed University, Ex-Governor of Reserve Bank of India has also graced the occasion and applauded the efforts and dedication of the students in support of the cause. ICFAI University takes pride in conducting such Blood Donation Camps each year on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day and hopes to continue the tradition in future.
