The campaign also aims at addressing pregnant women working at construction sites. As part of the launch, the IHHC conducted a panel discussion for doctors and nurses on the importance of maternal care and its trends on Wednesday. The panel comprised of eminent doctors in the city such as Dr Rooma Sinha, Consultant Gynecologist and Obstetrician, Apollo Hospitals; Dr Padmaja, OBG Gynecologist, Fernandez Hospitals.

The discussion moderated by Dr Anitha Arockiasamy, President, IHHC briefed on the issues faced by expecting mothers, post-partum care and the challenges faced by women to conceive a child. The doctors highlighted the lack of awareness among women on the importance of proper hygiene and maternal care.

Understanding these difficulties faced by women, Dr Anitha spoke about the home care packages offered by India Home Health Care to ensure that the right kind of care and attention is received by these women and how home healthcare is the ideal solution for these challenges and difficulties.

Commenting on the occasion, Dr Anitha Arockiasamy said, “Natal care is most often associated to the attention given to women during their pregnancy. Mothers who have just delivered and the newborn baby require equal attention during the postnatal period. Envisaging this need, we wanted to discuss how home healthcare can address all the immediate needs of the mother and newborn.”
