HMWSSB inaugurates Command Control Room
Minister for IT, K Taraka Rama Rao inaugurated the Command Control Room here at the Board Office in Khairatabad on Monday. He also reviewed the rain-related problems of HMWSSB.

Minister said that in the wake of recent sudden damage to sewer at NTR gardens during rains, a study of the 5.5 km sewer pipeline from Divyashakthi Apartments, Punjagutta to GHMC Head Office must be conducted. He suggested taking up repair works of the damaged portion on warfooting so as to avoid any further damages.
He instructed the HMWSSB to conduct study on the existing Main Sewer pipelines which were laid more than 10 years ago in various parts of the city.
He also said that there should be regular monitoring of the condition of sewers by the O&M Wing. Commenting over metering, he instructed to give time to customers to fix meters on their own otherwise Board would fix the meters and charge the amount of fixing meters in their bills. The idea is that every connection should be metered for proper water accountability.
