‘Footprint ’16’ exhibition St Andrews School, Keesara hosted an awareness session about issues involving carbon footprints and its impact.  The students played the role of environmental activists as they introduced the exhibition through Veedhi Bhagotham and Nukkad Natak forms of theatre. 

As part of the ‘Footprint ’16’ exhibition St Andrews School, Keesara hosted an awareness session about issues involving carbon footprints and its impact.

The students played the role of environmental activists as they introduced the exhibition through Veedhi Bhagotham and Nukkad Natak forms of theatre.

The exhibition was divided into nine different categories based on human activities that contribute to climate change - invisible print, renewable print, power print, eco- print, ethnic print, I- print, life print, green print and food print.

The models created by students reflected their innovative ideas as well as their concern for the planet.

The need for sustainable use was further reiterated through the design of the models.

Renuka Masih, the principal of the school explained, “We ensured that the display models are made of recycled and bio- degradable material. We made sure it is thermocol (polystyrene) free.”


The event highlighted the need for change by exploring the interrelationships between human activities and environmental processes. G S S Reddy, a parent, expressed his views about the exhibition and said, "Today, students are focused on either academics or technology.

Exhibitions of this sort are instrumental in creating an environmental consciousness and social responsibility.

Parents and students need to work together to ensure a better future.”
