Gold fashion expo begins

A two-day gold and fashion exhibition-cum-sale by Destination Events and Expo organisation commenced at A-Convention Centre on Friday. The chief guest of the expo was Devineni Anupama, wife of Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma Maheshwar Rao. She inaugurated the exhibition.

Speaking on the occasion, Anupama said that the Destination would be very useful for people who prefer variety of jewelry for marriages and for other important occasions. She said, "Jewelers from Mumbai and Hyderabad participated in the expo and the people of Vijayawada can experience the wide range of designer jewelry.

The jewelry manufacturers know the trend of the youth and have exhibited a variety of jewelry according to the ongoing trend." The organisers of the expo K Sindhura and D Srinath said that jewelry manufacturers have directly participated in the expo.

The wide range of articles include 916 gold ornaments like Kundans, Vaddanalu, Lockets, Stone studded chains, Bangles, Rings, Pendants, Bracelets, Ear rings, chains, Necklaces, Mangalsutralu, Jains jewelry, watcher and Diamond ornaments, exclusive Boutiques, Wedding Sares and Silver articles.

One gram jewelry along with Pattu saris, Nikath pattu, Uppada, Pochampalli, Venkatagiri and Bridal Saris and work saris and various types of dress material. There was a lucky draw for every two hours, they added.
