Class I student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Picket, Secunderabad, Daniel Francis, holds the distinction of creating many records. The five-year-old from Bowenpally, has etched his name in ‘Telugu Book of Records’, ‘Genius Book of Records’, ‘Wonder Book of Records’, ‘Universal Record Forum Certificate’, ‘Golden Star’, ‘World Amazing Record’ and ‘Super Kids Record’ for his ability to recall the names of
Class I student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Picket, Secunderabad, Daniel Francis, holds the distinction of creating many records. The five-year-old from Bowenpally, has etched his name in ‘Telugu Book of Records’, ‘Genius Book of Records’, ‘Wonder Book of Records’, ‘Universal Record Forum Certificate’, ‘Golden Star’, ‘World Amazing Record’ and ‘Super Kids Record’ for his ability to recall the names of countries, capitals, currency among others, in no time.
Daniel entered into ‘Telugu Book of Records’ and ‘Genius Book of Records’ for recalling the names of 66 chapters from The Bible within 37 seconds. He also recalled the capitals of Indian states in 25 seconds when he was just three years old. Speaking with The Hans India, M Anitha Karun, mother of Daniel, shared how she and her husband M Karun identified Daniel’s talent and trained him to enhance his skills.
“When my husband and I were talking about some social issues, Daniel was listening and he told us the same thing the next day. And this happened for five or more times, then we figured out that he has great power of memory and started training him to learn many things like names of countries, capitals, currency, important leaders, etc,” said Anitha Karun.
After her son’s success, Anitha Karun started a website ‘Improve’, to train more kids to improve their power of learning. “We started the website to motivate kids to enhance the power of learning, which is important for memory, learning, and self-awareness. And with that kids can remember things easily and never forget what is taught to them. Here, parents also play a crucial role in guiding or teaching the kid,” Anitha shared.
“Usually we give three-months coaching and train them to remember more than 300 answers of various subjects,” Anitha said and added, “We hope Daniel will become an IAS officer in future."
