CCTV surveillance installed at Moghalpura, Gandhinagar
As part of the city-wide ‘Community Surveillance System through CCTV’, cameras for Moghalpura and Gandhinagar areas were inaugurated by Commissioner of Police M Mahender Reddy and V Sekhar, Executive Director Powergrid, SRTS-I at the Moghalpura Police station on Monday.

Powergrid, Southern Region Transmission System-I (SRTS-I), Secunderabad under CSR initiatives has contributed an amount of Rs 75 lakh for installation of the cameras in the two police station limits.
A statement from the company said, “This system along with Integrated Command Control Centre cum Disaster Management Centre will be helpful to achieve several components of Swachh Bharath mission and Smart City Mission. It will also be helpful in promoting preventive sanitation, insuring environment sustainability, protection of national heritage buildings and relief during disaster management.”
Reddy appreciated the management for sponsoring the project. He said that Powergrid is one of the few companies to Sign MoU with the Police Department in executing ‘Community CCTV Surveillance System’. Charminar MLA Ahmed Pasha Quadri also appreciated the contribution for the cause.
