Uthup, known for her evergreen numbers like ‘One Two Cha cha cha…’, ‘Hari Om Hari….’ and ‘Rambha Ho Ho Ho…’ and the of late ‘Darling…’, was one of the most eagerly awaited events at RSAMI that was attended by the retired and serving defence officers and their families stationed in the twin cities.

Clad in her trademark Kanjeevaram saree, the singer sported her traditional broad ‘Bindi’, infectious smile and unstoppable energy as she sang popular songs from Hindi Films and a few other languages as well. Being from the defence background herself, she expressed how specially she associated herself to the Forces.

The event was inaugurated by Lieutenant General RK Anand, General Officer Commanding, Dakshin Bharat Area and was attended by Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh, Commandant MCEME and Major General N Srinivas Rao, General Officer Commanding Telangana and Andhra Sub Area and host of other senior military dignitaries, serving and retired.
