GHMC workers of Entomology department are busy conducting anti-larval operations, fogging and spraying larvicides at the historic Golconda Fort and its surroundings. The move is undertaken ahead of US President Donald Trump\'s daughter Ivanka Trump’s visit, who will lead the delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2017 scheduled to begin in Hyderabad from November 28.

The move is undertaken ahead of US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump’s visit, who will lead the delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2017 scheduled to begin in Hyderabad from November 28.

The Telangana government is expected to host a special dinner in her honour at the monument, on November 29. According to Rama Chandrudu, assistant entomologist, the drive 'anti-larva operation and special drive programme' that began last week will continue till November 29 wherein MLT powder are being sprayed on the walls to kill adult mosquitoes. They are also spraying MLO (mosquito larvacide oil) and other chemicals in the stagnated water in the surroundings.

Each unit has 19 members. They are also spraying liquid chemicals on the grass on the lawn, said Shaik Zubair, entomology field assistant (EFA).
