The headquarters of the Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha is located at Brook Bond colony in Padmarao Nagar.

Deepak Bhattacharjee, The President of Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha told The Hans India, “The Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha was established in the year 1965, with an objective to give a face to the Bengali residents of Secunderabad, but today I am proud to say that The Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha has risen above than just celebrating festivals.”

He further adds, “Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha is an association of Bengali people, but we also have non Bengali members who have shown interest in knowing about the Bengali culture. As if now, there are 1600 life members and 1200 ordinary members (both Bengali and non- Bengali).” It has a library of around 14,000 books from diverse subjects and is open to all.

“We are planning to distribute 1,000 blankets to the people to tide over this winter season around the area of Secunderabad. As a part of Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha we ensure that we help out every person who comes to us for help”, said Deepak Bhattacharjee with the sense of contentment in his tone.

Recently, The Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha has inaugurated 12 Adult Literacy centers at Nazrulnagar of Adilabad district to provide free education to the uneducated in the village with computer based learning. This was launched in association with Tata Consulting Services (TCS) and Lion’s Club of Secunderabad.

A few months ago, the Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha concluded its successful and joyful Durga Puja celebrations in a grand manner. On the first day of Durga Pooja on September 22, Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha distributed food packets and sarees among the poor people of Secunderabad.

Not only this, on September 3, the members of Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha distributed 1,000 sarees among the women of Kumram Bheem of Adilabad, and had installed an RO water plant, with a capacity of providing 1,000 litres purified water per hour to almost 50,000 people in the same district on the same day.

As a part of relief funding, The Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha donated a sum of rupees two and a half lakhs towards Bihar floods. All these charity activities were done in association with the Lions club of Secunderabad.
