Authorities crack down on encroacher
Responding to the article titled \" Illegal Construction Unabated at Pedda Cheruvu\" published on February 2 in CityLife, officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and the revenue department along with the personnel of Dundigal Police Station took stringent actions against the builder of the venture Raja and his partners.

While an FIR has been filed against the accused for encroaching the Full Tank Level lands adjoining the lake and for trying to bury the lake with the sand equivalent to 100 truckloads, the authorities of GHMC town planning division demolished the fencing constructed near the lake.
They also destroyed marking stones installed for selling the plots. Speaking on the occasion, GHMC Assistant City Planner Srinivas confirmed that they had not given any permission for the venture and that they would take every necessary measure to curb such illegal activities irrespective of who it belongs to or who is behind it.
