Charminar: Elaborate arrangements have been made by the municipal body for the conduct of Shobha Yatra which is scheduled to be held on March 25 in city.

GHMC has removed 400 tonnes of debris with a cost of Rs. 1.36 lakh and additional street lights are being arranged at a cost of Rs. 5 lakh and B T patch works with a cost of Rs. 9.2 lakh have also been taken up on the enroute and all the progress are almost in final stage the GHMC is also providing 20 mobile toilets en-route and 20 modernised sweeping machines are being deployed for cleaning purpose.

Municipal commissioner B Janardhan Reddy appealed all the citizens including Peace Committee Members, Temple Committee Members, Mythri Members and organisations of the Shobha Yatra procession to cooperate with the GHMC and the Police department to conduct the Yathra in a peaceful atmosphere.

In this connection a joint inspection was organised with Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police and senior officials of the GHMC and Police Departments at Sitaram Bagh area where the Commissioner said that earlier the organising committee members and other connected people have requested the GHMC to provide all basic minimum facilities at the en-route as per their request all elaborate arrangement were being made for the said procession said Janardhan Reddy.

The GHMC in coordination with all the connected departments have taken up all the precautionary measures for smooth conduct of the procession of seven kilometres from Sitarambagh, Begumbazar, Siddambar Bazar, Putli Bowli, Sultan Bazar and at Hanuman Vyaymshala School at Kandaswamy lane. Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police said that all must follow the guidance and teachings of Lord Ram while celebrating Ram Navami with which we can serve the citizens in a more appropriate way to have a togetherness.

The Commissioner of Police further stated that all arrangements are being made in coordination with the organizing committees and all other who are involved in the procession of Shoba Yathra and the Police Department is striving hard to make the procession in a very peaceful atmosphere.
