A Seminar was held to discuss the Mining policy and its challenges at The Institution of Engineers office at Khairatabad on Sunday. Chairman and managing director of South Eastern Coal Fields Ltd Engineer B R Reddy said “Land acquisition policy has to be more industry friendly or else the industries will suffer. Single window system clearance system has to be done for environment and forest for better coordination and timeliness. Public sector undertakings will rise to the need of the country’s requirement of 1500mt by 2022.”

National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) Technical Director Dr N K Nanda orated the history of policies in the mineral industry and their impact in the increase of production. He also expressed that change in mineral policies is having advantages and disadvantages, so it should be properly implanted and executed. Dr S Satyanarayana Chairman IEI presided over the seminar. Dr G Rameshwar Rao Secretary IEI TSC welcomed the gathering, Er V S Rao Member IEI, TSCC and Convener Organizing Committee, and Dr M S Venkata Ramaya IEI also participated in the event.
