Meerpet: Following the complaints about drainage overflow due to untreated water released from a well-known car washing centre, corporator Golluri Anjaiah made a visit to Narasimhanagar and inspected the area.

It was found that Chinna Service Centre used large-scale water, chemicals, soap, shampoo and wax for car washing and shining. Without any waste water treatment plant or water recycling plant, the waste water laden with mud, oil and other chemicals directly flowed into drainage system thus choking it.

Local residents complained the same to the owners of the service centre, however, they were least bothered to solve the problems. Vexed with their attitude, the residents approached the corporator.

Golluri along with work inspector Chary inspected the service centre and warned the owners of taking stringent action against them if they didn’t install water treatment and recycling plant. Golluri also instructed the officials to solve the problem on war-foot basis. TRS division president V Praveen, leaders Shravan Goud, Ramesh, Rajesh, Mohan were present.
