Hyderabad: The Madhapur police identified the charred body of the woman that was found in an open land in Bhagyanagar Cooperative Society on Wednesday as K Sunita, a resident of secunderabad.

The police said the woman worked as a tele-caller in a call centre and left home for work on Wednesday morning. However, she did not return home following which her family members called her office only to learn that she did not turn up for duty.

Even as they were trying to find her, the Madhapur police called them up and informed about the charred body found in Bhagyanagar Cooperative Society.

“The body was completely burnt and it was hard to be identified. We found her half-burnt purse, and traced her SIM card.

We informed her relatives and found out that on Wednesday morning, her brother had dropped her at Secunderabad Railway Station,” Inspector Shanshank Reddy told reporters.

Preliminary investigations suggest that a man was after Sunita forcing her to accept his love. Unable to take on his pressure, Sunita’s family approached the police and the man was caught by the police.

Sunita had been in depression ever since and she reportedly did not share her problems with the family, the police sources said.

Meanwhile, the investigators have been verifying the CCTV footages of all connected points to find a clue that could help solve the case.
