Officials told to prepare proposals for mini stadia construction in Khammam
District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar directed the District Youth and Sports Officer M Parandama Reddy to prepare proposals for the construction of mini stadia in every constituency of the district.

The Collector chaired a meeting with District Sports Organisation Committee here in the Pragna Conference Hall at the Collectorate in Khammam on Wednesday. Addressing the officials, the Collector ordered the officials of Sports department to take necessary steps along with preparing proposals for the construction of mini stadia in every constituency of the district.
He ordered the officials to install CCTV cameras at the entrance and exit gates of the Sardar Patel Stadium and to complete the minor repairs to windows and gates apart from taking steps for the construction of swimming pool.
“Lay fencing around the volley ball and basket ball courts for the convenience of players and complete the construction works of Gymnastics Hall apart from arranging lights to play during night,” ordered the Collector.
The Collector along with District Superintendent of Police Shanawaz Qasim appreciated the players who performed well at national-level Khelo India 2016-17 competitions held recently.
Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Marapaka Nagesh, District Education Officer Vijay Lakshmi Bai, Executive Engineer of Panchayat Raj department I Ramesh, District R&B officer Dhanunjay and others attended the meeting.
