Khammam: The Communist Party of India (CPI) State joint secretary Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao termed Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as a habitual liar as far as his promises were concerned.

Addressing the district secretariat meeting here on Monday, he ridiculed KCR saying that he was second to none in hoodwinking people.

“During the Telangana agitation, KCR used to say that a Dalit will become the first CM of the State, but backtracked and became CM himself,” Rao said.

This apart, a lot of promises made by KCR has not seen the light of the day even after two-and-a-half years, he said, criticising the TRS government for ignoring the problems faced by the poor.

He said people have come of age and have noticed TRS government’s misdeeds. “It’s a matter of time that people would teach KCR a fitting lesson,” he said.

Without the support of Communists and others, Telangana would not have happened, Rao said, finding fault with KCR’s comments on Communists. Be it double bedroom houses, 3 acre land to poor dalit and KG to PG, TRS failed to fulfill its poll promises, the CPI leaders said, accusing the government of siphoning off people’s money in the name of redesigning of irrigation projects.

Training guns against Narendra Modi government, he demanded the Centre to take measures for the security of Indians living in US. He said that his party would continue to fight against the Central and State governments’ anti-people policies.

CPI districts secretary Bagam Hemanth Rao, senior leaders Puvvada Nageswara Rao, Siddineni Karna Kumar and TV Chowdary were among others present. Earlier, the leaders took out a rally in protest against racial attacks in US.
