Khammam Cops nab two vehicle lifters
The Two Town police nabbed a bike lifter who was found stealing the two-wheelers from Sardar Patel Stadium for the last few months here at Zilla Parishad Centre in Khammam on Monday.
Khammam: The Two Town police nabbed a bike lifter who was found stealing the two-wheelers from Sardar Patel Stadium for the last few months here at Zilla Parishad Centre in Khammam on Monday.
According to the Additional Commissioner of Police Sai Krishna, the accused was identified as Kilaru Vinod, son of Muthyalu, resident of Julurupadu mandal. Vinod was stealing two-wheelers from Sardar Patel Stadium from the last four months. A total of 17 two-wheelers were stolen by Vinod.
During the vehicle check at ZP Centre in Khammam, police suspected Vinod and took him into custody. After investigation, they recovered 17 two-wheelers from his possession worth Rs 9 lakh.
In a similar incident, police nabbed a car lifter at NTR Circle. The accused was identified as Thota Venkataramana, son of Ram Babu, resident of Narsimpudi Village of Alamur Mandal of West Godavari district.
Venkataramana stole the car which was parked at Saritha Clinic on Sunday and tried to sell it in Guntur, Vijayawada and Rajamundry. Since no one came forward to purchase it, he decided to sell it in Hyderabad and was heading towards the capital, informed the ACP Sai Krishna to media.
Receiving the information on a tip-off, police officials nabbed him here at NTR Circle and recovered the car worth Rs 2 lakh from his possession.
ACP Sai Krishna congratulated the Khammam Two Town Sub-Inspector B Omkar Yadav, Head Constables N Venkat Reddy, Srisailam and Hanumanth Rao and Constables Amer Saheb and Ramulu.
