Khammam: Demanding the TRS government fulfil all its poll promises, the CPI took out a rally from Pavilion Grounds to Collectorate in Khammam on Monday. Addressing the party activists on the occasion, CPI senior leader and Former MLA Puvvada Nageshwara Rao alleged that ruling government was adopting anti-people policies and deceiving people by its hollow promises.

“Only TRS party leaders know how to carry out bogus surveys and claim development in the state, while in reality nothing has been achieved,” he observed, stating that the TRS has pushed the state into Rs 1 lakh 67 crore debt.

Lambasting the government for going back on its promises of KG to PG free education, three acres of land to Dalits, fee reimbursement and waiving of farm loans, Puvvada said, “Without proper planning the TRS party had completed Bhakta Ramadas Lift Irrigation Project. However, it had utterly failed to stop falling water levels in dams.”

Party district secretary Bagam Hemanth Rao alleged that the TRS government was boasting unnecessarily by giving wide publicity to its useless schemes and pumping public money which was ultimately going down the drain.

“With no place to store and with disheartening MSP, the chilli farmers are in depressed state,” he said, alleging that the government was in no mood to solve farmers’ problems.

Accusing the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of duping people in the name of development, he threatened to intensify the agitation if the governments failed to come to the rescue of people.

CPI party leaders T V Chowdhari, Md Moulana, Potu Prasad, J Jithendar Reddy, S Narasimha Rao, Y Babu, M Nageshwar Rao, Ch Seetha Malakshmi, S Karna Kumar, D Adi Narayana, U Ranga Rao, Ajmeera Ram Murthy, A Latha Devi and MPP Mellacheruvu Lalitha and others participated in the dharna.
