The IGP along with the Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal inaugurated the training programme to about 252 members of City Armed Police Constables of Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts here at City Police Training Centre in Khammam on Monday.

Addressing the crowd, the IGP said the role of police was very prominent in a democratic country like India and advised them to get training with commitment and discipline to become perfect.

He added that special arrangements were made to teach classes indoor for trainee constables on e-Book, cyber crime, investigation of cases and community policing along with computer labs for the first time after the formation of Telangana.

“During training programme, new initiatives have been taken for the convenience of trainees. A new system called ‘Buddy Pair’ where two trainee constables are paired to share their feelings and problems during the training period are also launched,” informed the IGP.

As many as 30 members would be made a team and would be trained perfectly. A one police official as mentor to teach the trainee constables certain techniques will also be appointed, the IGP said. CP Tafseer Iqbal said in nine months of training period, the trainee constables would be shaped into model police by providing training from experts.

Later, the IGP and CP planted the saplings on the premises of City Police Training Centre apart from inaugurating the newly-established classrooms, staff room and library.

Additional DCP Sai Krishna, City Police Training Centre ACP Ismail, Khammam Rural ACP Suresh Kumar, ACPs of City Armed Reserve department Sanjeev and Venkateshwarlu and Circle Inspectors Sarangapani and Rehman and Reserve Inspector Vijay Babu were also present along with others.
