Suryapet: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy stated that Telangana government was maintaining transparency in all aspects and putting all out efforts to resolve the issues of people living in remote areas in the state.

On Wednesday, the Minister launched a special portal, Janahitha, to receive public grievances at Suryapet Collectorate.

Addressing the gathering after releasing the publicity poster, Jagadish Reddy informed that people across the district were waiting in long queues to submit their complaints on Grievance Day, organised on every Monday.

On the direction of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to bring governance close to the common man, the state IT division designed a portal called www.janahitha.telangana.gov.in in which people can submit their grievance through online or mobile, can know the government schemes and can track the status of their complaints.

In this connection, the call centre and e-mail ids were provided to the public. Petitioner can bring his grievance to government and officer concerned through an e-mail or call centre or can WhatsApp via server. Officials at Secretariat would monitor the implementation of Janahitha, he added.

Stating that the portal was launched as pilot project in Suryapet district, the Minister said after seeing the success, Janahitha would be implemented across the state after four months.

He urged people to utilise the opportunity and also requested the officials to feel responsible and bring good name to the district. He said the official concerned was responsible to solve the issue of petitioner and he has to give reply to the complainant with proper reason in case of any obligation.

So also, negative marks would be awarded to the officials who fail to address the problems with in stipulated time, he underlined.

District Collector Surendra Mohan, Muncipal Chairperson Ganduri Pravallika, State IT Wing Director Dilip, JC Sanjeeva Reddy, DRO P Yadi Reddy, RDO Mohan Rao, District Library Chairman Srinivas Goud, Market Committee Chairman Y Venkateshwarlu and others participated in the programme.
