Bhadrachalam: The Mukkoti celebrations were concluded on a grand note in Bhadradri Sri Sitharamachandra Swamy Temple on Sunday. The celebrations were launched last year on December 19.

The Temple authority conducted Mukkoti celebrations in three phases.’ Paganpathhu’ was held from December 19 to 23 during which Lord Rama appeared in the main events of Tepothsavam. The ‘Uttaradwaram’ was conducted from December 23 to January 1.

The ‘Rapothu’ celebrations were conducted after ‘Vilasa utsavams’ and ‘ Viswa Rupa Seva’.

The ‘Viswarupa sevas’ were organised by the temple on Saturday during which many devotees performed special pujas. The deities were colourfully decorated. As part of the ‘Pongal’ celebrations the temple conducted ‘Godadevi Kalyanam’ on Sunday. Priests performed ‘kalyanam’ while chanting of Veda mantras. Heavy rush was witnessed in the temple on account of holidays. Executive Officer of temple K Prabhakar Srinivas said on account of Pongal holidays a separate queue line was arranged for Lord’s darshan.
