AITUC demands equal pay for equal work

Nalgonda: All India Trade Union Congress district general secretary Palla Devander Reddy demanded the government to provide equal wages for equal work.
On Friday, on the direction of Union’s State committee, the district unit held a protest at the Collectorate. Addressing the gathering, Reddy demanded the government to regularise the services of outsourcing and contract employees and provide salary equal to that of permanent employees as per the directions of apex court.
He demanded the government to provide Rs 18,000 monthly minimum salary to employees working in various government departments. AITUC district president Nalparaju Satish demanded to establish welfare board for auto, hamali and other workers of unorganised sector.
