Passport Service Kendra  will start its operations from March 2 Anantapur town.  The new building constructed in the post office premises will be inaugurated by Regional Passport Officer Chowdary.

Anantapur MP JC Diwakar Reddy will attend the function as chief guest, post office Superintendent Swathi Mathura said, the facility will help the applicants for passports to file their applications in the new office. Local Police will verify the documents before issuing the passports.

She also said that Aadhar service centres were already opened in Anantapur and Guntakal post offices and another 20 sub offices will be opened in Anantapur division in two days. International tracking system will also be brought into service to track the movement of parcels shipped to Asian and Pacific countries.

Swathi said banking services will also be launched in all post offices in Anantapur division from April first week.
