A woman from Hyderabad thanked the Union External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj for helping her return home from Saudi Arabia where she was allegedly being forced to work as a housekeeper.

A woman from Hyderabad thanked the Union External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj for helping her return home from Saudi Arabia where she was allegedly being forced to work as a housekeeper.

The woman, Reshma Begum was assured a job as a nurse in Riyadh by some agents. However, upon reaching the Arab nation in July 2017, she was given the work as a housekeeper.

Reshma said that she was being tortured by the owners and was even kept hungry for days.

The woman who has returned home safely thanked the Indian Embassy and Sushma Swaraj for rescuing her.
