Nalgonda: Nine women drown, after trolley-tractor plunges into canal
A group of daily wage labourers were killed on Friday when the trolley-tractor they were travelling in plunged into a canal in Nalgonda district.

The mishap occurred near Padamati Thada of Vaddipatla grama panchayat in P A Pally Mandal when the labourers were travelling from Pulicharla from Padamati Thanadar for daily labour work.
At least nine of them, all women, drowned in the AMRP canal in the incident and the death toll is likely to increase as the officials revealed that the trolley-tractor had around 30 labourers travelling at the time of the accident.
A massive operation has been launched to retrieve the bodies from the canal with the help of local swimmers.
The victims have been identified as Ramavath Sona, Ramavath Jeeja, Jorkela Dwali, Ramavath Keli, Banavath Beri, Ramavath Kansali, Ramavath Bharathi and Ramavath.
