Birthday prank gone wrong: Group of youngsters detained in Vijayawada
A group of youngsters in Vijayawada ended up getting detained by the police on Thursday night when they planned a birthday prank for their friend.

The six youngsters were spotted hanging out suspiciously by the local police patrolling team on Eluru road in the city.
Two of the boys dressed up as ghosts with white clothing and wigs to scare their friend. Police who are already on high alert regarding any suspicious activity following fake rumours regarding a kidnapping gang has disrupted the law and order situation in the state.
Three people, including two mentally challenged persons, were attacked in Guntur and Visakhapatnam in the last two days after the public suspected that they were members of the trafficking gang.
To prevent any untoward incidents, the police took the youngsters into custody.
According to the police, one of the boys had his birthday and the group had intended to make a prank video and post it on social media. All the boys are minors were later counseled in the Machavaram police station.
