Jana Sena party President Pawan Kalyan who is undertaking Porata Yatra has arrived in the West Godavari district on Tuesday. However, the police denied permission for yatra citing the reason of bandh call given by YSR Congress Party in support of special category status.

Pawan Kalyan will be meeting students, lawyers, social activists and people’s organizations in Bhimavaram today. He also planned to meet villagers, who are opposing aqua food park at Tundurru but the police have denied permission citing law and order problems. Hence, the Jana Sena Chief’s yatra will be limited to Bhimavaram today.

Meanwhile, the YSRCP leaders and workers came on to the roads from early hours of Tuesday and staged protests in front of bus depots preventing RTC buses from plying. Following the AP bandh call made by YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy demanding the Central government to fulfill bifurcation promises mentioned in the AP Reorganisation Act including special category status, the police made preventive arrests of several YSRCP leaders across the state.
