Hyderabad: The Telangana State Haj Committee in its meeting today finalized the arrangements for selection of Haj pilgrims for Haj 2019 through Computerised Draw of Lots (Qurrah) on 12th January at 11:00 AM in Haj House premises.
Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali will inaugurate the Qurrah.
Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan presided over the meeting today, which also finalized the process of selection of Khadim ul Hujja (Haj Officers) by conducting an interview of candidates to scrutinize their mental and physical fitness. The Committee on the suggestion of Abu Talha Amjad decided to waive off collection of expenses from AP State Haj Committee towards food and accommodation of pilgrims from AP as a gesture of traditional hospitality of Telangana State. The Committee also decided to conduct Haj Orientation Training Programmes in Hyderabad and in the districts. The Committee felicitated Special Officer on his successful visit of Makkah KSA as a Building Selection Committee member, which selected good quality accommodation there for stay of Indian Haj pilgrims.
Members of the Haj Committee including MLCs Mohammed Fareeduddin, Mohammed Saleem and Mohammed Farooq Hussain, Arif Ahmed, Abdul Khader, Hafiz Mohammed Laiq Khan, Mohammed Abu Talha Amjad, Imtiaz Khan and Mohammed Arifuddin participated in the deliberations. Special Officer Prof. S.A. Shukoor presented a report on all agenda items.
