'Timeless Wedding Concierge by Taj', which was recently launched here promises to be a "one-stop destination for all things weddings" and in order to offer a wholesome and highly personalized experience.

"What we are trying to create is a one point stop where there is a single point contact for the couple to co-ordinate and create experiences including pre-wedding functions as well as anything that happens post-wedding," says Chinmai Sharma, Chief Revenue Officer at Taj. The new concept will handle all phases of wedding planning –pre-wedding, main wedding and post wedding services.

Besides, it also seeks to help guests customize every aspect of the occasion - from the decor, ambiance, theme, colours, mood and lighting to the music and menu, including minutest details such as the cutlery on display and lay out of the table. Pre-Wedding concierge services include yoga and meditation session with a personal instructor, specially crafted treatments for bride and groom to be and planning pre-wedding functions like bachelor party, sangeet, haldi and Mehendi.

The main wedding services includes seamless query handling from beginning to end. From venue requirements, menu selection and tasting, room bookings, etc to recommendations for other allied services like photographers, videographers and florists. Post-wedding services include a complimentary honeymoon destinations across exotic Taj properties like Taj Exotica in Maldives and Goa and other Palaces and resorts by the brand. The concierge has been launched across 13 of the brand's properties across the country.

They are: Taj Palace Delhi, Vivanta By Taj Surajkund, Vivanta by Taj Fort Aguada Beach Resort, Taj Exotica Goa, Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur, Taj Falaknuma Palace Hyderabad, Taj Bengal Kolkata, Taj Krishna Hyderabad, Vivanta By Taj President, Vivanta By Taj MG Road, Vivanta By Taj Malabar Cochin, Taj Coromandel Chennai and Taj Capetown.

Sharma says that the venture does not eliminate the idea of having a wedding planner. In fact, the brand itself has partnered with many such planners to offer the best solutions to the couple. According to him, the brand plays a significant role in adding value through the wide network of partnerships and connections with the best names from across different industries and through 'Timeless Weddings Concierge,' it aims to facilitate interactions between the two parties.

"We have also partnered with wedding planners. So, we do not intend to replace them. If a couple wants to keep their planners, then be it. We will just offer our connections and partnerships. "Since we have been holding weddings for a long time, our relation with our partners is significant. If an individual approaches a designer or a jeweller, they might not be able to get access. That's where we add value to our experience," he says. While he does not mention the accurate expenses that might be entailed for a wedding by the concierge. "A typical range of our hotels is anything from Rs 5 lakhs and runs into crores," he says. PTI
