The new season of ‘Extraaa Innings T20’ brings back the femme fatale, Archana Vijaya, who is known for her sterling contribution in the world of cricket presentation. Archana, will be seen donning a new hat this year as she hosts a fresh new segment for the Extraaa-Innings show.

While Archana takes on the nostalgia craze, veterans Gaurav Kapur and Samir Kochhar, who have given cricket analysis an all-new definition will continue to be seen on IPL Extraaa Innings T20 being aired on Sony MAX.

During an interview, when asked about what made her come back on IPL Extraaa Innings T20, Archana told, “This is meant to be the biggest season so far. I had no doubts in my mind that I should come back because my association with the IPL and Sony MAX has been so strong.

For me it’s very exciting to be back on the tenth year celebrations of the IPL, which is a huge celebration of Bollywood, cricket and entertainment coming together.”

“I will be traveling the length and breadth of the country and bringing all the action that happens off the field, which includes fun things like interviews with the cricketers, interacting with IPL fans on the streets, visiting cricketers’ families etc.

We have interesting segments that I am going to be hosting such as ‘What’s hot and what’s not’. We want to get the fans involved because the entire campaign ‘10 saalaapkenaam’ is dedicated to the fans. I am going to be the one reaching out to the fans and bringing their joy, excitement and perspective to our wrap around show,” Archana said.

Talking about the biggest challenge she has faced as a female commentator, she replied, “The biggest challenge I faced was that I had to convince people to go beyond the way I look. While I may look this good, I had to make people believe I was talking sense. That in itself was a challenge. But I overcame that. I have had legends commend me for my work.

Today, people appreciate my work on Extraaa Innings, apart from my looks. For me this is the real reward. We of course have to do our homework. We have a whole team that works very hard to give us statistics when we are presenting. We have to watch the matches closely during the season.”
